Master Bedroom Closet - MASTERED!

Last week, in one of my warts-and-all moments, I shared with you the disaster zone that was my closet. Before I could tackle all the fun stuff of making my bedroom over into the oasis/sanctuary of my dreams, I knew I had to tackle this mess:

So, after gathering some great goodies to make over my master bedroom, I forced myself to knuckle down and turn this mess into a workable clothes closet!

Visions & Secrets & Wishes - OH MY!

Now, this may sound like it's going to be a lot of hoo-doo in this post, but I promise it's not! ;)

A couple years ago, there was a DVD making the rounds of my husband's office. It was The Secret and it was supposed about wishing for something out loud, which would, in turn, send that wish out to the universe, and would finally come true. That's pretty much it in a nutshell, at any rate. Anyway, the DVD finally found its way to my husband's desk and then to my DVD player. Now I like a good ghost story, conspiracy theory, etc, but I definitely prepared to view this "documentary" with a healthy dose of skepticism.

I have to say, while I still don't believe in wishes magically coming true, I got one thing out of this DVD and it's worked remarkably well - the idea of creating a Vision Board.

This is our Vision Board for 2012 - Got some empty spaces!

Putting My Foot Down! :)

It never fails. You finally decide to get a project going and, suddenly, you are inundated with a thousand things that seem to appear out of nowhere and need to be done right now!

I'm squeezing in time today to get a post ready for the blog today, regardless. I work freelance and have several jobs suddenly due all at once. But this blog is important to me too. If it gets shoved to the side to make room for everything else, it can't grow and I don't create.

So my work will get done, but I have to remember to make this new venture important too.

How do you manage your time to make sure that your projects and interests aren't lost in the shuffle?
